Company Background

In 1991 Bill Moore, President of Dartmoor Designs, Inc., designed, fabricated and operated one of the first-ever coffee carts in the Los Angeles area. He soon began to manufacture carts and retail pop-ups to meet the demands of the rapidly expanding marketplace.

 

Bill recognized that successful mobile food and beverage designs must comply with health department requirements. Accordingly, he has participated for the last 20 years with local, statewide and Federal regulatory agencies and understands the necessary codes and how to comply. As a member of  California committees that oversee food code, he has authored some existing state health laws. He also works with major food equipment manufacturers on new product development and equipment certification, process control and data monitoring, alternative energy designs and sustainable foods initiatives.

 

Bill has earned a wide reputation for his unique and creative designs, retail experience, knowledge of food safety regulations and strategic solutions advice for clients. He has collaborated with world famous architects on projects such as the Getty Villa, the Getty Center, the Smithsonian Institute and Walt Disney Concert Hall. His attention to details of aesthetic form and operational function ensure that their projects achieve successful launches as well as critical acclaim.
